Zerubbabel Lodge No. 15, has a rich history dating back to its charter on November 5, 1840. Throughout its existence, the lodge has played a significant role in the local community and the broader Masonic fraternity.
In the 19th century, Zerubbabel Lodge No. 15 was notable for its diverse membership, including Jewish members who were active in Savannah's social and philanthropic activities between 1830 and 1870. Additionally, during the American Civil War, the lodge exemplified Masonic principles by facilitating communication and support across enemy lines, demonstrating the enduring bonds of brotherhood even amidst conflict.

Over the years, Zerubbabel Lodge No. 15 has been associated with prominent figures in Savannah's history. Including
Robert P. Lovell, a well-known businessman, was a member of the lodge, as well as Georgia Chapter No. 3, R.A.M., and Palestine Commandery No. 7.
Alfred Haywood, An English-born merchant and public servant, Haywood moved to Savannah in 1845. He served multiple terms as an alderman on the Savannah city council and was acting mayor for a period. Haywood was actively involved in various civic projects, including the completion of Savannah's sewage.
H. Sol Clark, A distinguished member of the lodge, Clark was awarded the Grand Lodge of Georgia's Distinguished Service Medal in 1954.

Jack L. Hepner: In 2007, Hepner received the Distinguished Service Medal from the Grand Lodge of Georgia, recognizing his significant contributions to the fraternity
James Claude Vaughn, A dedicated member of Zerubbabel Lodge No. 15, Vaughn was also associated with the Alee Shriners and served as Past Director of Savannah Court No. 134 Royal Order of Jesters. His commitment extended to various community organizations, including the Rotary Club of Savannah and the German Heritage Society of Savannah.

Today, Zerubbabel Lodge No. 15 continues to be an active part of Savannah's Masonic community. The lodge holds meetings on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7:00 PM, with dark months in June, July, August, November, and December. The lodge is chartered through the Grand Lodge of Georgia, F&AM, which is recognized by the United Grand Lodge of England.
